Sky News coverage for AMT / Towns Alive

I’ve been supporting national charity Action for Market Towns (AMT) with communications, press, event organising, membership development and external affairs work since 2011.

AMT could be given the alternative name “Action for Market Towns, small towns, large towns, high streets, neighbourhoods, cities, coastal and seaside towns” – that would be a bit of a mouthful though. But reflects the growth in attendance at their events, in membership, and in use of their services and support.

I’ve generated press coverage for AMT on television (BBC, ITV, Channel 4), radio (Radio 4 and numerous regional BBC Channels), in national newspapers including The Financial Times, The Observer, The Guardian and The Telegraph, specialist trade press and a wide range of regional and local press.

Yesterday Sky News covered AMT within several news bulletins. Chief executive Chris Wade commented on new figures from the British Retail Consortium showing growth in retail sales – particularly in clothing and footwear.

As usual with TV news bulletins, there’s much more on the cutting room floor! But always good to get recognition from producers of the authoritative voice that AMT offers on town centre, high street and neighbourhood revitalisation.
