- Over the last five years the media has changed beyond all recognition. Find out how your business can take advantage – and feed busy journalists tasty morsels of news on a plate
- On the menu at Rotherham Hospice’s breakfast networking event: 20 inside-track methods to get your business featured in press, radio and on TV
I’m working with Faye Smith and Jo Davison to organise and deliver this event for Rotherham Hospice on Wednesday, 6th May at the premises of world-leading company AESSEAL. There’s no need to fork out to attend – this is a FREE workshop, which also gives you the opportunity to meet other business owners and hear about how Rotherham Hospice can work with your business.
Registration is essential and places are first come, first served, so please book your place here.
Who should attend?
Chief executives, directors, owners and managers of businesses large and small who are interested in:
- learning how to secure media coverage (or more than you currently get)
- hearing about how your business and Rotherham Hospice can work together in 2015-16
- and meeting other business movers and shakers
Programme:
7:30am – registration and breakfast.
8:00am – welcome from Gordon Bridge, Director of AESSEAL, who is kindly hosting the event.
8:05am – introduction from Christopher Duff, chief executive of Rotherham Hospice.
8:15am – How to get the media to cover your business. Tips and advice about what print and radio want (and need) whether they are looking for new stories, features, case studies and interviewees, and what they expect from you when you approach them. The media’s requirements are often very different from what they are sent by local businesses, but our panel can enlighten you.
The panel features Jo Davison, a journalist for 36 years who has worked at The Rotherham Advertiser and The Sheffield Star as columnist, feature writer, women’s and business editor; and Jamie Veitch, presenter of the “Business Live” programme on local radio (Sheffield Live). Our panel will share their experiences of how to engage with the media and a Q & A will follow, enabling the attendees to quiz the experts for tips and advice.
8:45am – Q & A.
9:00am – optional tour of AESSEAL, one of the world’s leading specialists in the design and manufacture of mechanical seals and support systems.
9:30am – finish
