Ruth Lucas is the entrepreneur behind specialist dog travel bed company, Rovernighter.
Ruth joined me in the Sheffield Live studio on Friday 8th April to talk about Rovernighter and the process of developing her idea, born from the need for a comfortable travel bag that would convert to a bed for her own dog, through to inception and launch of the product.
In January Rovernighter was selected as the Virgin StartUp of the Week, and at the end of March the business was named by Theo Paphitis as a Small Business Sunday #SBS Award recipient.
In the in-depth live interview Ruth discussed product development, design iteration, access to the market, funding, intellectual property, marketing, and sources of advice and support for entrepreneurs.
