Merry Christmas! It’s been a privilege to work with so many interesting folk this year.
Here’s my silly message to Thank-You and tell you about this year’s charities and causes. There’s even a bit of climbing in here (not much, it was 3 degrees and my fingers got very cold).
Thank-you: to all the people in businesses and social enterprises who have chosen to work with me this year. Whatever the context: direct client work, interviewing guests on my radio show, book and guide writing, voluntary activities, training and workshops, and working as an associate through Keep Your Fork and Social Business International – it’s been tremendously stimulating to work with you.
The charities and causes I’m supporting this December:
- Roundabout (Sheffield’s youth homeless charity providing shelter, support and life skills to young people aged 16-24 who are homeless or at risk of homelessness)
- The Real Junk Food Project Sheffield (a super social enterprise, which re-purposes good food and makes it available via pay-as-you-feel cafés, a market, an education programme and a catering function and is currently crowdfunding)
- The Youth Adventure Trust (working with young people, building confidence, hope and resilience and giving access to outdoor activities, music, arts, woodland and animation workshops)
- Sheffield Flourish (a mental health charity rooted in Sheffield which also supports four flourishing community enterprises including Open Door Music)
Whatever you are planning for Christmas and the Festive season, I hope you enjoy it – and I wish you all the best for 2019.
